Class Attire

At MDC, dancers are welcome to choose the option they feel most comfortable in within each class guideline below. Dress code is designed to support movement, comfort, and proper training, and we want to make sure every dancer feels confident in their attire.

No baggy clothing in ballet classes (helps with technique correction)

Hair must be secured away from the face for all styles

Clean sneakers reserved for studio use only (Hip Hop)

No jewelry except small studs

No smart watches, and no cellphones inside the studio rooms

Ballet

  • Pre-K – 4th Grade (F): Leotard of any color, dance tights, leather or canvas ballet slippers. Optional short ballet skirt. Hair in a flat bun (preferred) or neatly secured ponytail.

  • 5th Grade+ (F): Leotard of any color, dance tights, leather or canvas ballet slippers. Optional short ballet skirt or black knit/spandex shorts. Hair in a flat bun (preferred) or neatly secured ponytail.

  • All Ages (M): Solid-colored T-shirt, leggings, athletic shorts, or dance pants; socks and black ballet shoes.

Contemporary Jazz

  • F: Leotard, leggings, shorts, or athletic pants; bare feet or crew socks

  • M: T-shirt, athletic shorts or pants; bare feet or crew socks

Acro

  • F: Leotard with leggings or spandex shorts; bare feet

  • M: T-shirt with athletic shorts or pants; bare feet

Tap

  • All Dancers: Sweatpants/joggers, shorts, T-shirt, black tap shoes

Hip Hop

  • All Dancers: Sweatpants/joggers, shorts, T-shirt, clean sneakers

Tuition & Fees

A $35 registration fee is due per family at the time of registration.

Costumes for Dance Works, our Spring Recital, are an additional cost and typically range from $80–$105 per class.

A 9-month payment plan option is available for tuition.

All fees are non-refundable.
